A SERIOUS NEW THREAT

Many homes & businesses in Ireland are at risk because of a design weakness in the Euro Profile Cylinder locks commonly used on multipoint locks.

Its estimated that 90% of Irish homes & businesses have some form of multipoint locking on the perimeter doors to the property. These range from uPVC, aluminium, timber & sliding patio doors all of which offer a false level of security if the key cylinder has not being upgraded from the original design.

Burglars have discovered just how easy it is to bypass a standard type euro cylinder. It doesn't matter how many hooks or dead bolts you have on your multipoint door lock, the weakest on most vulnerable part is the key cylinder mechanism. Once the cylinder is bypassed the multipoint lock can be unlocked by simply pushing down on the door handle.

Using the latest method a burglar can now gain entry to your home or business in less that 30 seconds without any noise or disruption.

Our advise is simple.

Take the first step in improving your home or business security by installing ABS high security key cylinders. We can install or you can also install yourself.

Currently the only lock cylinder on the market that will protect the integrity of your multipoint lock if an attempt is made to bypass the key cylinder.

The majority of multipoint locks are factory sealed "lockcases" and therefore are not serviceable or repairable.

If a replacement is required and we do not have it in stock then we can usually source and quickly obtain direct from the manufacturer.
Alternatively it is often possible to replace the lock with a universal replacement which will often upgrade and improve the security over and above that of the original.

Are you having a problem with your uPVC or multipoint door lock ?

To check your multipoint door lock is working properly open the door and operate the lock system with the door in the open position . If it works smoothly then it is unlikely that you have a problem with the lock itself. Your problem could be with the alignment of the receivers on the frame . If the lock system is hard to operate and you find it difficult to lift the handles it is in need of urgent attention. Failure to attend to this will certainly result in the locking system becoming jammed and you could get locked out .
