What does the job involve?
The opportunity involves a range of duties in a wide variety of aspects in our business. The predominant focus will be in activities related to our onsite works in domestic, commercial and industrial projects. The candidate will be involved in the installation of our smart locking access control systems along with the installation of mechanical locks and master key systems along with general locksmith activities such as domestic call outs and vehicle key coding.
What qualifications are required?
There is no formal qualifications or experience in the security industry required as full detailed training on duties will be provided. However skills in metal work, wood work and in mechanical systems would be a distinct advantage along with experience in construction, engineering or electrical.
What training will be provided?
The successful candidate will under go our hands on training program where they will receive one to one training with our team on all aspects of their role and duties. The candidate will also undergo all relevant health and safety training associated with their role such as manual handling, abrasive wheels, working at heights and training on the correct completion of all relevant health and safety paperwork.

At MD Lock & key we are a dynamic, future focused team of professionals who pride ourselves in delivering the very best security systems in a thoroughly professional manner.
The standard working week is a 40 hour week from Monday to Friday 9-6 with 1 hour for lunch. The successful candidate will first undergo a 6 month initial training and probation period, upon successful completion of this period they candidate will be offered a full time contract and a competitive salary. Enhanced and detailed training will be completed and as new technology and practices become available on going training in these will be provided. At certain times the candidate will be expected to work flexible hours such as a Saturday or start earlier in the morning if a project requires this.
